An 18-year-old man was shot in Austin on the West Side late Friday.

Shortly after 11 p.m., he was walking home when someone walked up to him in the 5900 block of West Augusta and shot him in the arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
