A woman in her 30s was shot Saturday morning in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The woman was shot in the leg near 84th Street and Ingleside Avenue at 8 a.m., police said.

She was treated and released from South Shore Hospital after the shooting, but later went to Jackson Park Hospital Saturday evening because her leg continued to hurt, police said.

Jackson Park Hospital staff called police after they discovered there was a projectile in her leg, police said.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
