A man was shot in the Fernwood neighborhood Saturday morning on the Far South Side.

The 19-year-old was shot in the left arm about 11:55 a.m. in the 700 block of West 99th Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park in good condition, police said.

The man is homeless and knows the suspect that shot him, which leads investigators to believe this was an altercation, police said.
