A 35-year-old man was shot late Tuesday in Greater Grand Crossing on the South Side.

About 10:25 p.m., he was standing with two other people on a sidewalk in the 7500 block of South Ingleside when a gunman walked out of an alley and started shooting, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
