Man seriously wounded in Oakland drive-by

A 20-year-old man was seriously wounded in an Oakland neighborhood drive-by shooting early Thursday on the South Side.

He was outside about 12:15 a.m. in the 4000 block of South Oakenwald when someone in a passing silver vehicle opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the lower back and taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
