When asked what current Chicago Bears player or NFL player most closely resembles him, Dennis McKinnon was at first hesitant to name anyone.

“I can’t think of any player,” McKinnon said. “I blocked. I was on special teams. I learned all position, X, Y and Z on offense. I ran more motion probably than anyone in the history of the Bears.”

Eventually, McKinnon names Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith as the most like him.

“He was a return demon,” McKinnon said. “That’s a guy that always gets his nose in there and has an edge about him.”
