A 43-year-old man was shot to death in the Roseland neighborhood Sunday night on the Far South Side, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 9:40 p.m. in the 10100 block of South Calumet found the man unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the death.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
