A 38-year-old man was killed in a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting on the West Side Saturday evening, police said.

About 6 p.m., he was standing with a group of people in the 1200 block of North Keeler when two people walked up and started shooting, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back of the neck and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality Sunday night, but did not release the man’s name pending notification of his family.
