Man shot in abdomen in West Garfield Park

A 23-year-old man was shot in the abdomen Thursday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 8:04 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Van Buren, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
