Man shot in knee on South Side

A 35-year-old man was shot in the knee Saturday afternoon in the Stony Island Park neighborhood on the South Side.

About 12:30 p.m., he was outside in the 1300 block of East 75th Street when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

A friend drove him to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he is listed in good condition, police said.

Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.

It was initially reported that the shooting took place in the 1700 block of East 87th Street, but further investigation found the incident took place in the 1300 block of East 75th Street, police said.
