A drive-by shooting just before 2 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of West 85th Street on the city’s South Side left a 37-year-old man hospitalized.

Shot in the back, the man was taken in fair condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the police, who said he was shot as he stood outside and someone opened fire from a passing vehicle.
