A man was shot and critically wounded early Saturday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 5:45 a.m., the 35-year-old man was driving in the 4700 block of West Jackson when a grey-colored car pulled alongside and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the chest and suffered a graze wound to the elbow, police said. He walked into Loretto Hospital, but was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
