Willie Young out for Bears vs. Seahawks

SEATTLE — Surprisingly, Bears defensive end Willie Young will not play Sunday against the Seahawks.

He was one of seven players on the Bears’ inactive list, released 90 minutes before kickoff. Young wasn’t on the injury report all week. The outside linebacker was a rotation player the first two weeks, serving as the first substitute behind starters Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston.

He was joined by quarterback Jay Cutler, receiver Alshon Jeffery, linebacker Jon Bostic, center Hroniss Grasu, tackle Tayo Fabuluje and defensive lineman Brandon Dunn. Cutler and Jeffery, who have hamstring injuries, were ruled out Friday.

Cornerback Tracy Porter and defensive lineman Ego Ferguson will play, as will defensive tackle Mitch Unrein, who was signed Friday.
