Man shot in hand in Back of the Yards

A 30-year-old man was shot in the hand Sunday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

He was outside with a group of people in the 5200 block of South Lowe about 2:30 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He declined medical treatment at the scene.
