Armed robberies reported in Austin

Police are warning residents of a series of armed robberies over the past week in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The burglaries occurred:

  • at 4:45 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 5400 block of West Washington Boulevard;
  • at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 23 in the 200 block of South Laramie Avenue;
  • at 8:50 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 5900 block of West Washington Boulevard.

In each incident, a group of 4 or 5 men have robbed victims on the street at gunpoint, police said.
