Police are warning residents of a series of garage burglaries over the past month in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The burglaries occurred during daytime hours on:

  • Sept. 20 in the 11200 block of South Talman Avenue;
  • Sept. 21 in the 11600 block of South Artesian Avenue;
  • Sept. 25 in the 2500 block of West 118th Place;
  • Sept. 26 in the 11600 block of South Artesian Avenue.

In most of the incidents, a burglar entered through an unlocked door, or forcibly through a side or overhead door. Garden tools have been reported stolen, police said.
