Three shot in Chicago Lawn

Three people were shot Friday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The three males, ages 17, 19 and 21, were sitting in a parked vehicle in an alley in the 6000 block of South Richmond about 9:45 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV pulled alongside and a passenger opened fire, police said.

The 17-year-old boy was shot in the left leg, the 19-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the abdomen and the 21-year-old man was shot in the left arm, police said.

They drove themselves to Holy Cross Hospital, where all three were listed in good condition, police said.

A police source said the 19-year-old man is a self-admitted gang member.
