SHARE Police: Man fatally shot in North Lawndale

A man was shot to death Friday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The 35-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle on the 1100 block of South Richmond at 8:20 p.m. when someone walked up to the car and shot the man, police said.

A friend drove him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The man is a known gang member, police said.
