An 18-year-old man was shot in the head Saturday morning in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The man was discovered “highly intoxicated” about 4:30 a.m. in the street in the 2100 block of North Laramie, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Community First Medical Center and later transferred in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
