Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot Sunday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 8:45 p.m., the 25-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 7300 block of South Damen when a male fired shots from the sidewalk, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in both legs and drove himself to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said he is a documented gang member.
