2 shot in Back of the Yards

Two men were wounded in a Back of the Yards neighborhood shooting late Monday on the South Side.

About 11:25 p.m., they were on a sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Ada when two people walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

One man, 39, was shot in the shoulder, leg and back and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. The other, 41, suffered gunshot wounds to the right ear and leg.

Their conditions stabilized, police said.

The younger man has documented gang ties, police said.
