A man was shot and critically wounded Thursday afternoon in the Princeton Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 25-year-old was walking in the 9100 block of South Wentworth about 4:40 p.m. when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
