Chicago Police are warning businesses and residents in the North Side Albany Park neighborhood about a series of armed robberies this month.
Three businesses have been robbed at gunpoint in the neighborhood since Jan. 3, according to a community alert from police.
The robberies happened:

- At 10:48 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the 3700 block of West Montrose;
- And at 4:05 a.m. on Jan. 16 in the 3800 block of West Lawrence.
In each robbery, one to two males enter the store, pull out a silver or blue steel handgun and demand money from the register, police said.
There was a single robber in two of the robberies, police said. He is described as a Hispanic man, 20-30 years old, standing 5-foot-4 to 6-foot, weighing 160-180 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
There were two robbers in the other robbery, police said. They were both wearing hooded sweatshirts that partially covered their faces but one had a darker complexion than the other.
