Man shot in Homan Square

A man was shot in the Homan Square neighborhood early Sunday on the West Side.

The 35-year-old was shot in the upper portion of his right arm about 4:20 a.m. in the 600 block of South St. Louis Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
