A man was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood early Saturday.

The 21-year-old told police he was walking in the 5400 block of South Damen about 3:10 a.m. when he was shot in the left leg, police said.

Nearly two hours later, a friend took him to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. His condition was not immediately known.

Two men were shot about 3:20 p.m. Sunday in the 11500 block of South LaSalle Street, police said. One man died at Christ Hospital. The other man is in serious condition. No one is in custody.
