Two teenage boys were wounded in a South Austin neighborhood shooting Monday night on the West Side.

The boys, ages 13 and 14, were passengers in a vehicle at 9:53 p.m. traveling east in the 5500 block of West Lake when a male on the sidewalk nearby opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The younger boy was shot in the left leg and the older boy suffered a gunshot wound to the right knee, police said. The boys later showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where both of their conditions were stabilized.

The man, 21, was found with gunshot wounds to his back and left shoulder in the 9600 block of South Princeton Avenue about 11:35 p.m., police said.
