A man was shot Tuesday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 9:20 p.m., the 33-year-old was driving a vehicle in the 6400 block of South Sangamon when gunfire erupted and he was shot in the back, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.

The man, 18, was sitting in a vehicle in the 1800 block of West 88th Street about 6:05 p.m. Sunday when he was hit in the leg by gunfire, police said. He died at a hospital.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 3700 block of West Polk Street about 12:41 p.m. Sunday and found the three men shot, police said. Terrell Glass, 19, died, and two others are hospitalized. No one is in custody.
