Two brothers who were previously charged with a series of sexual assaults dating back to 2003 are facing additional charges for allegedly attacking a woman in 2011.

Leondo Joseph, 40; and his 31-year-old brother LB Joseph, were each charged Friday with aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

LB Joseph drove up to a woman who was working as a prostitute on Dec. 5, 2011, in the 4100 block of West Taylor, prosecutors said. They negotiated a price for sex and he drove the woman into an alley, where Leondo Joseph got into the car and forced the woman into the back seat. He indicated he had a gun and both men sexually assaulted the victim multiple times.

DNA evidence has since linked the brothers to that assault, and the victim identified them as her attackers, according to prosecutors.

Both men were previously charged in 2014 after DNA evidence linked them to a series of sexual assaults dating back to 2003, the Chicago Sun-Times reported at the time.

Leondo Joseph has been charged with 131 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault for a series of incidents in August 2003, December 2004, May 2010, April 2011 and September 2012, according to court documents. LB Joseph has been charged with 27 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault for incidents in April 2011 and September 2012. Both men were also charged with one count of armed robbery and six counts of aggravated kidnapping for the September 2012 incident.

A jury found both men guilty last month of eight counts of aggravated kidnapping, 17 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, and one count of aggravated battery in a public place for a Dec. 17, 2011, attack, prosecutors said. Their sentencing hearing for that case is scheduled for Oct. 18 and they remain in the Cook County Jail without bond.
