911 call on North Side leads to SWAT response

SWAT teams were called to an incident in the Old Town neighborhood on the North Side Sunday afternoon.

At 2:39 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a female crying for help in the 300 block of West Evergreen, according to Chicago Police.

After officers arrived, SWAT teams were requested, police said. The “active situation” was ongoing as of 6 p.m.
