Man shot in Gresham

A man was shot early Sunday in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 19-year-old man was in the 8300 block of South Ada about 4:45 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the thigh and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

A police source said he is a documented gang member.
