Police are warning South Side residents of several recent armed robberies in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

The robberies all happened this month from in an area bounded by 61st to 67th, and Cottage Grove to Greenwood Avenue, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

At least one suspect walks up to victims, pulls a handgun and announces a robbery before taking off with their belongings, police said.

The suspects are described as two to three black men between 18 and 25, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, and 150-180 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8380.
