A man was shot Wednesday night in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 10:30 p.m., the 22-year-old was walking in the 7100 block of South Artesian when another male fired shots from a gangway, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the left arm and left calf and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
