An Elgin man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in August.

Fernando Godinez-Monjaras, 40, turned himself in Oct. 12 after an arrest warrant was issued accusing him of criminal sexual assault, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office, which said he assaulted a 33-year-old woman in a truck after he and another man offered to give her a ride home from a bar in Hoffman Estates on Aug. 12.

Godinez-Monjaras is free on $20,000 bail.
