Man found shot to death in Little Village

A man was found shot to death early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Just before 5 a.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired found 29-year-old Jason Balboa lying on the ground in the 2800 block of South Pulaski, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Balboa suffered gunshot wounds to the head and torso and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:28 a.m., authorities said. His home address was not known.

Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
