A 19-year-old man has been charged with stabbing his mother to death early Saturday in their home in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 4:52 a.m. in the 4600 block of West 106th Place and found 50-year-old Grace Sink with multiple stab wounds, according to a statement from Oak Lawn police.

Sink told investigators she had been stabbed by her son, 19-year-old William Sink, police said. Both mother and son lived at the home where the attack happened.

She was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was pronounced dead at 9:27 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

William Sink remained at the scene and was also taken to Christ, police said. He was charged Sunday with one count of first-degree murder.

Judge Patrick Rogers ordered Sink held on a $2 million bond in court Monday.
