Police seek suspects in Waukegan armed robbery

Police are looking for two people wanted for robbing a gas station armed with a handgun and a razor Thursday night in north suburban Waukegan.

Officers were called at 10:45 p.m. to the gas station in the 2700 block of Washington Street in Waukegan, according to a statement from Waukegan police. The clerk told officers two suspects entered the store and demanded money.

One suspect was described as a 6-foot Hispanic man with a thin build and armed with a black handgun, police said. He was wearing a gray jacket with orange stripes on the sleeves

The other suspect was described as a 6-foot-2 black male with a thin build armed with a razor blade, police said. He was wearing a gray jacket with black stripes on the sleeves.

They were last seen running away from the gas station on foot, police said. Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Waukegan Police Department’s tip line at (847) 360-9001.
