A northwest suburban Crystal Lake man has won $300,000 lottery prize.

Michael Wirsing won the $300,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize when his Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers — 11, 22, 25, 27, 31 — in the Sept. 10 drawing, according to a statement from Illinois Lottery.

He and his wife plan to invest the winnings for retirement, the lottery said.

He bought the winning ticket at Circle K at 280 N. Illinois Route 31 in Crystal Lake, the lottery said. The store will receive $3,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
