A man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

About 2:30 p.m., the 18-year-old was standing at a bus stop in the 2900 block of East 79th Street when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The vehicle – possibly a minivan – was driven away after the shooting, police said.
