A man was shot Saturday night in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The man, 20, was standing in an alley about 9:30 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Yates when someone fired shots and he was struck in the right arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
