Several garage burglaries reported in Beverly

Police are warning Far South Side residents after several garage burglaries were reported in the Beverly neighborhood.

Someone enters garages through an unlocked side door or by opening the door with a pry tool, then steals bicycles, snow blowers and gas generators, according to a community alert from Area South detectives. The burglar also enters unlocked vehicles in the garages.

The burglaries all occurred between 12-8 a.m.:

  • Sept. 15 in the 1600 block of West 105th Place;
  • Sept. 21 in the 1700 block of West 105th Place;
  • Oct. 2 in the 10500 block of South Wood; and
  • Oct. 2 in the 1800 block of West 105th Street.
