Moon Alert

After 11:45 a.m. Chicago time, avoid shopping or big decisions. The Moon is in Capricorn.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Today is a bit of a crapshoot and there is no getting around this. To begin with, most of the day is a Moon Alert, which means you should only spend money on food and gas (or entertainment). Be patient with parents and authority figures to avoid conflict. “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition”

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Travel plans will be interrupted today, almost certainly. In fact, anything to do with higher education, medicine, the law, publishing and the media will be unreliable. However, you might learn something new that surprises you! Keep your head down and your powder dry.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Check your bank accounts and anything related to shared property and stay on top of areas where you are responsible for the property of others because something unexpected will be a game changer. Assume nothing. This is the kind of day where the only ATM machine you can find is broken.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You have to be patient and diplomatic with friends and partners today because everything is a bit up in the air. That’s why others might do something that catches you off guard. It’s probably because they, in turn, are caught off guard. Too many things are loosey-goosey!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Your work routine will be interrupted today. Computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages and equipment breakdowns are just some things that could throw you a curve ball. Co-workers are also unpredictable. A health issue might suddenly concern you.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is an accident-prone day for your kids so be extra vigilant. Meanwhile, sports events and social situations will be interrupted, rescheduled or canceled. Go slowly and be aware of the details so that you can avoid accidents before they happen.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Use your Libran diplomacy and charm to keep the peace at home today. Conflict with a female relative is likely. Something unexpected might put your teeth on edge or catch you off guard. Minor breakages could occur. Small appliances might break down. Could be anything.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is an accident-prone day for your sign so pay attention to everything you say and do. Don’t blurt out the first thing comes to mind. Wait a few seconds and give everything a sober second thought. Be safe. That way you have no regrets. (Or egg on your face.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Keep an eye on your money scene because something will impact your cash flow or something that you own. Something might be lost or broken. Or perhaps you will find money or lose money? Slow down and be careful to avoid loss or breakage.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You feel rebellious and impulsive today! Guard against this urge because you might impulsively do something you later regret. This is a poor day for important decisions. (See Moon Alert.) Wear water wings and stay away from the deep end.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You feel a restless undercurrent to your day. You might not even be able to identify it or put your finger on it — but you feel it. It’s as if you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Don’t hold your breath because if it does drop, it will invariably be ugly and not in your size.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

A female friend might say or do something you least expect today. Just go with the flow and don’t hold people accountable for what they do because today is full of impulsive, silly situations. We all fall prey to this sort of thing now and then. Oh well.

If Your Birthday Is Today

TV personality Sharon Osbourne (1952) shares your birthday today. You are intelligent, observant and charming. You are also highly responsible and passionate about justice and equality. A new nine-year cycle is beginning for you. This opens up many possibilities. You dress attractively. You also express yourself clearly. You might start a new business activity or change residences. Open any door because your future is in your hands.
