Man shot in Englewood

A man was shot Monday night in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 55-year-old was standing outside in the 1200 block of West 74th Street about 10 p.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
