Man wounded in Austin drive-by shooting

A 25-year-old man was shot Thursday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was standing outside just after 9:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Ferdinand when a white vehicle passed and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
