Teen boy shot in Roseland

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side late Thursday.

The teen was walking on the sidewalk in the 10100 block of South State about 11:20 p.m. when a male shot him in the ankle, police said.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
