Metra says kids under 11 years old can ride for free with an adult starting Monday and continuing through Labor Day under the commuter rail agency’s expanded “Family Fares” program.

Up to three kids under 11 can ride free.

On Monday — Memorial Day — Metra trains will be running on a Sunday/holiday schedule. There will be no service on the North Central Service, Heritage Corridor and SouthWest Service lines.
