A woman was shot and seriously wounded early Sunday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 4:40 a.m., the 26-year-old was driving in the 3900 block of West Wilcox when two males walked up to the vehicle and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the back and later showed up at Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition, police said. There was at least one other person in the woman’s vehicle, but no other injuries were reported.
