Woman shot in Greater Grand Crossing

A woman was shot while riding in a vehicle in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old was in a vehicle in the 7000 block of South Wabash about 9:05 p.m. when a male on the sidewalk shot her in the left knee, police said.

She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where her condition stabilized, police said.
