SHARE Police warn Lake View residents after home, apartment burglaries

A series of five recent residential burglaries in Lake View in which electronics, jewelry, cash and other items were taken has prompted a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

• May 20 in the 3700 block of North Greenview Avenue.

• May 21 in the 1400 block of West Henderson Street.

• May 23 in the 1600 block of West Grace Street.

• May 24 in the 1500 block of West Roscoe Street.

• May 28 in the 3600 block of North Marshfield Avenue.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
