A teenage boy was shot Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 15-year-old was in a common area of an apartment complex about 11:45 in the 200 block of South Lavergne when a male he didn’t know pulled out a gun and shot him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then fled on a bike.

The teenager was taken to a hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
