Emergency pothole repairs are scheduled to begin on the Stevenson Expressway on Wednesday evening, if the weather allows.
Beginning at 8 p.m., pothole repairs will require the closure of the left lane of I-55, as well as the rampfrom northbound Lake Shore Drive to the outbound Stevenson Expressway, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
A detour will direct drivers to exit at 18th Street and take southbound Lake Shore Drive to the outbound Stevenson, IDOT said.The lane and ramp were expected to reopen Thursday morning.
